I-435 in Wyandotte County still closed after fatal accidentThe northbound lanes of Interstate 435 remains closed this morning between Woodend Road and Kansas 32 in Edwardsville as authorities investigate a late-night fatality accident.One person died in the head-on collision between a sport utility vehicle and tractor-trailer rig. Three other occupants of the SUV were injured, one critically, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Those injured included two children who were taken by ambulance to Children’s Mercy Hospital.The SUV was pulling a rented trailer. The semi driver was not injured.Mike Rice, mrice@kcstar.com
